Safe, Certified Weighing for Hazardous Areas
Every component, from load cell to cable, is designed and tested to its explosion-protection class.
Where an explosive atmosphere is possible, weighing demands equipment built for the environment. Detasis offers products in several protection classes, compliant with hazardous-area regulations, for petrochemical, mining, steel, and construction sites. The load cells are verified against OIML R60 test procedures.
Explosion-proof load cells, junction boxes, indicators, and cables are protected end to end. Ex cables operate at 180°C continuously and 220°C for short periods, and withstand down to -60°C; cells are tested at temperature extremes in a climatic chamber.
IP67 and IP68 products are designed for damp and liquid-contact areas; on IP68 models the electronics sit beneath a laser-welded enclosure. Bodies are machined from alloy steel, stainless steel, or hard-anodised aluminium, and steel-armoured cables add protection against physical impact.
