Weighbridge Concrete Foundation Construction

Detasis builds your weighbridge foundation end to end, from site survey to reinforced-concrete work — the right ground and drainage protect measurement accuracy and service life for years.
01 — Overview
What Determines a Weighbridge’s Lifespan: A Properly Built Foundation
From soil survey to drainage plan, from formwork to the final pre-installation check, every step runs together on site.
A weighbridge’s measurement accuracy is not defined by the load cells and indicator alone; the reinforced-concrete foundation the platform sits on matters just as much. Detasis carries out a site survey before installation, assessing soil bearing capacity, groundwater level, and settlement risk.
Based on the soil survey, the foundation type and concrete grade are chosen and a reinforcement plan is drawn up. Formwork and pouring are planned so the platform distributes load evenly and resists bending or cracking over time. Approach-road slope and width are designed around safe, smooth vehicle passage.
Drainage channels that keep rain and surface water from pooling around the platform are built alongside the concrete work, protecting both the concrete’s service life and the load cells from water exposure. A final pre-installation check verifies surface flatness and levels, handing the site to the weighbridge crew ready for mounting.
