Overview
SM strain sensor: a 200 kg capacity, IP66-rated, direct-mount strain sensor for vehicle chassis and structural strain measurement.
The SM strain sensor is a loadcell that directly and easily measures the strain of the structure it is mounted on. Its general purpose is to be mounted on a vehicle chassis to measure the dynamic weight of the vehicle body, adding a weighing function to vehicles without requiring additional structural modification.
The same principle can also be applied to construction scaffolding and similar structures: the SM sensor measures the strain of virtually any structure it is mounted on, enabling structural load monitoring. Steel alloy or stainless steel housing options and an IP66 protection rating make it resistant to demanding site conditions.
